NACHA FRAUDULENT EMAIL ALERT

 

As of November 12th, 2009 there has been a recent ACH fraud attack targeting financial institutions and the customers of the financial institution.  The ACH fraud attack is being sent out via email to customers to try to receive personal information.

Fraudulent Email Alert!!!!!

Random individuals and/or companies may have received a falsified e-mail with the subject title "Rejected ACH Transaction."  This e-mail appears to be from NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association telling them that there is a problem with an ACH transaction they have originated.  The e-mail includes a link which redirects the individual to a fake website which appears like the NACHA website and contains a link which will attempt to install malware on the victim's machine and is designed to capture login credentials of the individual.
